The Fontainebleau Miami Beach

The Fontainebleau Miami Beach has been an icon in the luxury hotel industry since its debut in 1954.

In 2008, the Fontainebleau Miami Beach underwent an extensive billion dollar face lift. The historic renovation included the addition of two night clubs, three signature restaurants, a 40,000 square foot spa, and extensive pool and hardscape redesign.

Woolems Inc. worked with world renowned architects and designers to complete the transformation of several spaces throughout the property. One of two feature projects Woolems was responsible for was Gotham Steakhouse, a bi level restaurant which boasts an exhibition kitchen, a two story wine tower, and exquisite ambiance.

In conjunction with the normal challenges of high end commercial construction, Woolems was also faced with the challenges of coordinating adjoining venues, various general contractors, and the interior finishes ensuring a flawless transition from one area to the next. Several very unique and challenging design elements included the addition of a two story glass wine room and the coordination of the private dining water feature.

Through the use of a strong project management team and a very proactive approach, Woolems Inc. was able to persevere and assist Fontainebleau Miami Beach in reestablishing itself as one of the premier resort hotels on the East Coast.
